1st Oct was a hol for Ramzan. I lazed the whole day, saw some movies and slept nicely in the afternoon :). The van started from Don's house at around 10.30 and came to my place in 5 mins. We then picked up Gn and Cs from JP nagar, Raja from South End, Bose from KR Road and headed towards Mysore road where we picked up Rahul and Shet from their places.
We finally left for Wayand at around 11.30. We stopped at Madur coffeeday for a coffee at 12.30 midnight and reached Mysore around 1.30. As it was Ramzan the strret which we passed through was fully crowded which was for shopping itseems(info from our driver Naushad), then saw Mysore palace on the way. The next halt was at Gundalpet where the driver wanted to drink a cup of tea.
DAY 1 (Oct 2nd): I dint sleep the entire night and was listenin to a music cd. We saw a few deers and an elephant at Bandipur which is on the way and reached Wayanad at around 5.30. The hotel fellow was busy sleeping and dint open the hotel door till 6 am. I ran to the room (me and bose in a room), slept till 8, took a bath after bose waked me up and we went for breakfast at a Udupi restaurant which was right next to our hotel and ate some dosa's and vada.
We then headed off for Edakkal caves. There were beautiful trees and tea plantations on both sides of the road. We reached Edakkal around 10 if i remember properly. We had to walk about 2 kms to reach the entrance of the caves.
Sooo many people had already assembled there and there was huge queue for buying tickets. As the entrance of the cave was very small only one way traffic was possible, but still people pushed each other and tried to enter the caves. Finally we went inside the caves at 11.
This was actually a trek inside which none of us had expected. We reached a view point where me, Bose, Shet and Rahul decided to climb still further and reach the top while the others decided to take snaps there and go back and wait for us in the van. The trek up was not at all easy for me as i had put on weight recently after stoppin tt :P
It was around 3.30 when we decided to goto Pookat lake. We reached that place around 5 i guess and fortunately for us it was closed :P, so we dint even bother to go inside (only Bose went inside and told us that there was a garden and a lake). On the way back to the van we were discussin about Goa beaches and Bose got the most stupid doubts and asked Rahul to answer them hahaha paapa Rahul :P:P.
We then decided to head back to the hotel and reached there around 7. I was damn tired with body pains everywhere and took some rest. We decided to goto dinner around 8.30. To our shock there was nothin available in the food court to eat, luckily got som paratha's and curd rice. We ate dinner watchin Munnabhai movie and finally slept at 11.

Day 2 (Oct 3rd): We decided the previous night that we would goto Suchipara falls the next day. As we knew it would be crowded we decided to leave as early as possible. We left around 8 after breakfast and stopped near a tea plantation on the way to take some snaps. We reached Suchipara around 9.30 and had to walk about 2kms to reach the falls.
Me, Gn, Cs and Roshan left the van and reached the falls before the others. Don, Raja, Shet and Rahul had gone the wrong way and i had to call them and tell the way. The water of this falls was very clean and was extremely cold. Gn and Bose were the first among us to go and sit right under the falls. Me and Cs waited for the others to come. Everyone went and sat under the falls which was superb (it was like a massage actually :)). We took a few snaps and spent about 3 hrs in water. At 1 we decided to make our way back to the van.
We reached our Udupi hotel for lunch, due to rush normal white rice was over, but me and driver somehow put deal with the hotel manager and got the left over :P, others ate the Kerala rice. We then left to see a place called Kuruva island. We reached there around 4, but it was closed (damn the problem with Wayanad is everything close soo early in the eve that we could only see one place properly each day). We had some pineapples in a local shop and were deciding on the next place. Few of us (me, Gn and Cs) wanted to goto Thiruvenalli temple as it was near by, but others wanted to goto sunset point Lakkidi which was quite far. We left Kuruva around 5.Finally we decided on sunset point. Unfortunately we had to fill petrol on the way. Rahul somehow wanted us to reach the sunset point before 6.15 (lol rahul asked a guy how far is the sunset point, he expected the guy to say about 20 mins max, but that mad fellow said its about 67 kms, rahul told the guy we want to goto sunset point, not to the sun itself hahahahahaha). We reached that place finally but we were too late, just sat there took a few snaps and left back for the hotel. We left for dinner early (by around 8 itself) and ate in the food court. I had the most disgusting (Yuckk) veg biryani ever. We also shopped a lota biscuits, choclates and cakes for comin days trek.
Day 3 (Oct 4th): We decided to play a prank on Bose. When he went to take bath, we changed the wallpaper on his mobile and added a few songs including "Rajanna". Bose as soon as he came out saw his mobile and saw the new wall paper and got angry and started his usual ganchali dialogue. This time he even went a bit further by not talkin properly to anyone and also told us he would show his ganchali :p:P, but who cares hahaha :P. Anyways we decided to goto Chembra peak( south india's second highest peak) and trek. We left around 8 after breakfast and reached the entrance of Chembra. We had to buy an entrance ticket of 400 rs and a guide (Shiva) would accompany us for the trek. The 1st place we would reach was a view point which was hardly 10 mins from our van. The view point was beside the tea gardens at Chembra.
We started the trek at 10. Shiva told us that it would take 2 hrs to climb and another hour to come back. We had to climb 7 peaks to reach the top, also there was no proper path which made the trek adventurous and tiring.
By the time we climbed the 1st hill i was almost dead tired with body pains all over. Me, Don, Gn and Cs decided to take rest for a while. We decided that we would climb how much ever possible till 12.30. We crossed peak 1 in about nearly an hour. Peak 2 was more easier to climb as i guess we had got adjusted and also the path was flatter. Our guide told that there was a heart shaped lake on the next peak where we could rest there for a while and so we
moved on and finally reached there around 11. Me and Shiva saw a snake pass in front of us, Shiva went chasin it while i ran away. The lake was the only source of water for the animals in the near by forest. Shive said a group of people from Bangalore had campped the day before and saw an elephant drinking water. We took pictures near the lake and after 20 mins started to climb on. Don, Gn, Cs, Raja and Roshan became tired i guess :P and so were slow in climbin up. Me, Rahul and Shet asked Shiva to come with them and started climbin in full speed. I dont know from where i got sudden josh to climb up :P. We even sang a song of Lagaan and climbed up.
As we went higher and higher the weather became more cooler and it was becomin easier to climb :). We left as if we were inside the clouds on peak 6 and 7. Around 1 we reached the top of peak 7. It was the most amazing trek ever for me. Rahul was the 1st to reach the top :). After about 20 mins the other boys too made it to the top. We ate biscuits, choclates and other
Finally we decided to make a move back down at 1.45. I felt climbin down more easy though legs were painin like hell. I was the 1st to start climbin down followed by Cs and Shiva. We decided to climb till the heart shaped lake and not to stop before that. In an hours time we reached the lake where we sat for a while, washed our face and made a move after about 20 mins. We reached our van around 3 i guess. Drank loads of water from a tap there.
Climbing peak 1 and peak 7 were the thoughest as the path was steeper and also not proper.
All in all this was one of the most awesome trek i had done till date and throughly enjoyed it even though its after effects were not good :).
We wanted to goto the Sunset point (lakkidi) on time today atleast and so decided to eat lunch as fast as we could. We went to some hotel which was almost closing. Luckily he gave us some rice and sambhar (the only ones left with him), though it was bad we houghed and houghed nicely. Around 5 we left towards Lakkidi and saw the sunset. Finally came back to the room at around 7. No one had dinner except me, shet and Rahul. We packed our luggage as we had to leave early morning the next day.
Day 4 (Oct 5th): I got up at 4.15 as i had decided to have bath. We had decided to goto
We reached Karanji at about 10 and had to spend time there till 12 (as planet-x opened at 12). We saw the same birds in the aviary( we had gone recently to Ooty and other places and had seen this place before). Except me and Raja the rest of them went to the butterfly park.

We went to planet-x played bowling and karting, ate at Mahesh prasad hotel near Ballal circle and left for bangalore around 3.
Rahul wanted to goto Ranganthithu but as none of us had interest to go there we decided to go back to Blore :). We had a great time at Wayanad especially at Chembra peak and Suchipara falls and also thanks to Bose (our cashier :P) he dint make us spend much, thanks to Rahul, Shet and Gn for their photography (espicially Shet who filled both his 2 GB memory cards even though only he was there in more than half of the pics :P).
